On Thursday, May 21, 2020, at approximately 9:20 a.m., members of the Waterloo Regional Police Traffic Service's unit were conducting speed enforcement on Manchester Road in Kitchener after receiving several neighbourhood traffic complaints. Police conducted a traffic stop after a vehicle was allegedly traveling 62 km/hr in a posted 40 km/hr zone.
 
As a result of the investigation, the driver, a 23-year-old Kitchener male was arrested and charged with two counts of Breach Probation, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule 1 - Cocaine and four Highway Traffic Act violations. Police seized approximately 11.2 grams of suspected cocaine, cell phone, and a large quantity of Canadian Currency.

One victim was treated on scene for minor injuries after being struck by an edged weapon.

On May 19, 2020, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to the area of Westhaven Street and Westpark Crescent in Waterloo after receiving a report of an individual uttering threats. The suspect was walking past the victim’s residence when their dog approached him. The suspect kicked the dog before he uttered threats to the victim.
 
The male has been described as having tanned skin with his head shaved on the sides and long black hair on top. The male was last seen wearing a black hoodie, dark grey track pants and had a black backpack.

On May 20, 2020, at approximately 2:40 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to the area of Kingsdale Community Centre on Wilson Avenue in Kitchener for reports of an assault. Police attended a residence nearby and located a male suffering from a stab wound. The male was transported to hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
 
The victim was approached by an unknown male while in the area of the community centre. A verbal dispute escalated into a physical altercation. The suspect fled the area and is outstanding.
 
The suspect has been described as a white male, approximately 5’8” tall, with a thin build, clean-shaven and had shaggy hair. The male was last seen wearing a dark ball cap, a black light-weight jacket with a dark hoodie underneath, dark jeans and dark shoes.

On May 18, 2020, at approximately 1:15 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police received a report of a break and enter at a grocery store located in the area of Laurelwood Drive and Erbsville Road in Waterloo.
At approximately 12:45 a.m., two male suspects entered the store after smashing the front door of the business. The males then used a black SUV to drag the automated teller machine (ATM) out of the front of the business. The ATM was placed in the rear of the vehicle before the suspects fled.

Two males wearing masks entered the store and demanded merchandise. They fled to a waiting vehicle with an undisclosed amount of merchandise.
 
There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

Sometime during the evening of Saturday, May 3, 2020, and Saturday, May 9, 2020, unknown suspects attended a home and vandalized property. As a result of the investigation, police believe this to be racially targeted and therefore treating it as a hate-motivated incident.

Unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the homes and targeted personal identity documents.

The individuals used supplies within the building to set up a skateboard ramp and it's believed this incident was filmed and shared on social media.

A 25-year-old Wilmot man suffered serious injuries from a stab wound and was transported to hospital. The victim was later airlifted to an out-of-region hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Police believe this incident was targeted, and there is no risk to public safety.
 
The suspects have been described as black males with skinny builds. The investigation is ongoing.

The Waterloo Regional Police Robbery unit is looking for your assistance in identifying the suspects for the following Robbery.
 
On Saturday, March 28, 2020, a commercial robbery occurred at the Hasty Market located at 3101 Kingsway Drive, in the city of Kitchener. 
 
At approximately 6:24 p.m. two males entered the store, both had their faces concealed by hoods and face coverings.  The male suspects approached the cashiers counter to make a purchase.  As the clerk opened the cash one male produced a silver knife and wielded it towards the clerk over the open cash drawer.  The suspects stole cash from the cashier and fled the plaza lot towards Kingsway Drive.

At approximately 4 a.m., two males broke into a car dealership in the area of Homer Watson Boulevard and Manitou Drive in Kitchener and stole a Red pick-up truck which was later used in several break-ins.
